Before I started Bed Pilates I felt completely at a loss for how I could ever get my body moving in a way that didn’t end in huge relapses or increased pain and symptoms.
I felt extremely disconnected from my body, unable to rest, and unsure how to move in a way that felt kind to myself.
As someone that has always loved exercise, being unable and scared to exercise and safely move my body felt like a tremendous loss and I often found myself trapped in cycles of being too harsh and punishing my body and then unable to move for days/weeks/months afterwards.
After a month of trying Mobilates I felt so much more in touch with my body, including increased awareness of what are good and beneficial moves for my body.
I feel SO much more able to actually relax and have found that it really helps reduce my pain on flare days. I feel stronger and more confident when moving, which has been amazing.
One of the most amazing things I have (re)discovered through Mobilates is how to actually enjoy movement again in a way that makes me feel like I’m being so kind to myself rather than always punishing my body.
I’ve never been able to meditate as I struggle to switch off for even 2 minutes but I now find the second I begin the relaxation part of the session, I can actually switch off and go to a really peaceful place which is also so incredibly important for my mental and physical health.
I always feel better (physically, mentally, or both) after a session.
Mobilates has helped me gain confidence, strength, and the ability to love my body and exercise in a way I haven’t been able to for as long as I can remember.
I cannot thank Mobilates enough for what it’s offered me even in this short time.
